Description
Highly Sensitive Thermal Sensor
The Talion XQ38’s highly sensitive high definition 384×288, 17 µm <40mK NETD thermal sensor and 50Hz refresh rate, presenting a richly contrasted image with enhanced identification of animals and their extremities — as well as the smallest details, such as leaves, branches, and terrain — in harsh weather conditions when thermal contrast is low.
38mm F/1.2 Lens
Achieves excellent detection efficiency through the combination of the thermal sensor, a powerful, focusable 38mm f/1.2 objective lens, and an impressive 9.8°x7.3° field of view — providing a detection range of a standard 1.8m tall human or deer shaped object at distances of up to 1350m.
Simple Focus Adjustment
Focus adjustment has been made simple thanks to the integrated fin lever. Designed to match the protruding ridge on the housing when focusing has reached the 70m mark (night-time shooting distance) — this will allow for quick and correct focusing, without needing to look down the riflescope.
Variable Zoom
To allow the user to set the ideal magnification and visible field of view in any situation, the Talion XQ38 offers a base magnification of 2.5x -10x, with a x4 digital zoom that can be adjusted in single steps or continuously.
HD AMOLED Display
Thermal imagery is presented onto the Talion XQ38’s full colour, power-saving AMOLED display, which ensures a fluid, flawless high-resolution image for a crisp, richly contrasted, and vividly detailed field of view.
Variable Signal Amplification Levels
The Talion XQ38 allows the user to choose between three signal amplification levels. This, combined with Pulsar’s new filtration algorithms with fine brightness and contrast adjustments, will help to better define a target’s features, as well as providing an incredibly clear rendering of objects and backgrounds in the field of view.
8 Colour Palettes
To enable more effective observation of the field of view, this riflescope provides a choice of 8 colour palettes, optimising the Talion XQ38 for specific tasks and reacting to changing conditions in the observation area.
White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are the perfect choice for object detection; Rainbow and Ultramarine are great for recognition and identification; and Red Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet are ideal for night-time observation.
Picture-in-Picture (PiP) Mode
Picture in Picture (PiP) mode uses 10% of the HD AMOLED display, allowing the user to observe an HD zeroing frame. This mode will display a magnified image of the target and reticle, whilst simultaneously retaining visual control over the entire field of view.
Up to 9 Hours Battery Life
Powered by an interchangeable and rechargeable Pulsar APS5 battery, the Talion XQ38 provides up to 9 hours of operation time after just a single charge (depending on temperature). The embossed battery cover design helps the user to accurately identify the correct battery position, meaning removing and replacing the battery is quick and easy, even in complete darkness. The rapid extraction lock will also ensure a fast and seamless battery removal and replacement. Releasing this lock will open and raise the Talion XQ38’s battery cover, which is located on the top of the riflescope’s housing.
Display Off & Instant Start-Up
“Display Off” mode saves battery by deactivating image transmission to the display and reducing the screen brightness to a minimum, placing the device into standby mode rather than powering down completely. A simple press of the power button when in standby mode will activate instant start-up and the scope will be operational again in 3 seconds.
Auto Power Off
The auto power off function will automatically power down the Talion XQ38 when a non-operational position is detected. Holding the riflescope up or down at an angle of 70°, or tilting to the left or right at 30° for 60 seconds will trigger the auto power off function and all controls and buttons will be disabled.
Effortless Control
Locating the controls has been made effortless, with all buttons located on the top panel of the eyepiece to simplify access as much as possible for users regardless of whether they are left or right-handed. A spin wheel around these button allows for quick selections in the menu.
Lightweight & Durable
At only 700g, the riflescope is incredibly lightweight, however, its rugged magnesium alloy housing retains a robust build that can take on even the most adverse conditions. This housing also serves as a heat sink, extracting the warmth generated by the device’s inner electronics.
Operating Temperatures from -25 to +50 °C
Remains operational in a wide variety of temperatures, from -25 to +50 °C, with the frost-free AMOLED display providing a consistently stunning image, even when objects are moving.
IPX7 Waterproof
IPX7 waterproof rated — remaining operational in heavy rain, fog, high humidity, snow, and even after immersion in water at a depth of 1m for up to 30 minutes.
High Calibre Weapons Rated
High calibre weapons are also no problem — this riflescope’s high calibre recoil resistance means it can be used with high calibre hunting rifles (9.3×64, .30-06, .300, .375H&H, etc.), as well as smooth-bore and pneumatic weapons.
Scalable Ballistic Reticles
Scalable reticles, scaled proportionally to any magnification changes, allow the angular dimension of the reticle to remain unchanged at all magnification levels and enables quick measurements of distances and adjustments when shooting at various ranges.
5 Shooting Profiles & 10 Zeroing Profiles
Provides 5 shooting profiles for a multitude of weapon or cartridge types. Each profile can hold up to 10 zeroing distances, offering up to 50 zeroing distances overall.
Multi-Point Prism Mount
The Talion XQ38’s multi-point prism mount with multiple screw points provides flexibility when it comes to installing the riflescope onto a multitude of rifle types, allowing the user to easily shift the scope along the rifle during installation to find the most comfortable viewing position.
Built-In Video & Still Image Recorder
Capture all those once-in-a-lifetime moments thanks to built-in video and still image recording capabilities. This, combined with a built-in Wi-Fi module and Stream Vision 2 connectivity, will allow the user to view and share memorable moments easily.
16GB Storage
Images and videos captured on the riflescope are stored either on the device’s 16GB of internal memory, where they can be easily downloaded to a laptop or PC via the quick connection of a USB-C cord, or on the 16GB of free cloud storage available with the Stream Vision 2 app.
Stream Vision 2
Compatible with the Pulsar Stream Vision 2 app, available for Android or iOS smartphones or tablets. This free to download app offers a wide variety of connectivity features, including:
- The ability to use a mobile phone as a wireless remote to control the device and adjust its settings. View every change you make through the device on a smartphone or tablet screen in real-time. Also allows for remote recording of footage or the capture of still images.
- A gallery of photos and videos captured on the device can be browsed through and downloaded. These videos and images can also be shared.
- Remotely update firmware and take advantage of all the latest features at your fingertip. Stream Vision 2 allows the user to ensure the Talion XQ38 is always running to the best of its ability.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Taking Thermal & Night Vision Outside of the UK.
Thermal imaging and night vision products are strictly controlled by ITAR regulations and are subject to UK Government Export Licensing Regulations. Dependent on specification, a licence may need to be obtained prior to the export, even temporarily (e.g. holiday), from the UK.
Additionally, some countries may be embargoed, and no thermal imagers or night vision devices can be taken or exported to them. It is the responsibility of the exporter, whether it be a company or individual, to ensure that such a licence is obtained.
Failure to comply is a criminal offence.
