Enhanced Thermal Detection
The Pixfra TPC5 TPC-BF5641-T multispectral security camera features an extremely sensitive 640×512, 12µm, ≤35mK NETD thermal sensor, detecting even the smallest heat signature at exceptional distances. The small uncooled VOx (Vanadium Oxide) sensor allows this camera to reveal greater levels of thermal detail when compared to a larger-sized sensor, ensuring it achieves better visual information in its observation location; and offers improved accuracy when taking temperature measurements, detecting minute temperature changes with ease.
This camera is available with six objective lens configurations, each offering a different detection range and field of view. See below for detection ranges and FOVs in the thermal channel by lens configuration.
Thermal Detection Range by Lens Configuration
- 5 mm: 555 m (vehicle), 208 m (human)
- 9 mm: 1,000 m (vehicle), 375 m (human)
- 13 mm: 1,019 m (vehicle), 382 m (human)
- 19 mm: 1,490 m (vehicle), 558 m (human)
- 25 mm: 1,960 m (vehicle), 735 m (human)
- 35 mm: 2,745 m (vehicle), 1,029 m (human)
FOV in the Thermal Channel by Lens Configuration
- 5 mm: H: 90.0°, V: 70.7°
- 9 mm: H: 50.0°, V: 39.6°
- 13 mm: H: 32.0°, V: 25.7°
- 19 mm: H: 22.9°, V: 18.4°

Stunning Day & Night-Time Optics
A powerful 2688×1520 CMOS sensor, stunning 4MP camera, and built-in IR illuminator in the visible channel achieves crystal-clear day- and night-time optics — and the electronic defog function ensures these images remain as such in any environmental condition.
Combining this visible channel with the thermal channel enables users to take full observational control over their chosen location and seriously enhance their security/surveillance efforts. Available in four lens configurations, each model will offer a different FOV.
FOV in the Visible Channel by Lens Configuration
- 4 mm: H: 87.0°; V: 47.3°
- 6 mm: H: 55.3°; V: 30.0°
- 12 mm: H:37.3°; V: 21.4°
- 10–30 mm: H: 15.5°; V: 11.6°
Temperature Measurement Capabilities
The TPC5 TPC-BF5641-T features built-in temperature measurement capabilities, used to monitor the temperature of equipment in volatile environments such as factories, oil extraction facilities, power plants, or chemical plants; warning users of any anomalies in temperature by way of an alarm, and allowing action to be taken before any overheating can occur. These temperature measurements are customisable, which means the user can set thresholds for alarms.
Temperature measurements can be taken by day and at night, and functions reliably in extreme temperatures between –20 °C to 550 °C (–4 °F to 1022 °F).
AI Functionality Built-In
This security camera is aided by a wide range of AI functionalities, used to enhance its observation capabilities even further. These options include: heat detection & alarm, warning users in the event of temperatures exceeding user-set parameters; tripwire, which allows users to draw a virtual line across the FOV, alerting them when the line is crossed; intrusion detection, which works similarly to the tripwire function, allowing the user to set a virtual perimeter, alerting them when this perimeter is encroached; the ability to differentiate between vehicle and human activity; and alarm linkage support, including sending email alerts to the necessary users and triggering external alarms.

Taking Thermal & Night Vision Outside of the UK.
Thermal imaging and night vision products are strictly controlled by ITAR regulations and are subject to UK Government Export Licensing Regulations. Dependent on specification, a licence may need to be obtained prior to the export, even temporarily (e.g. holiday), from the UK.
Additionally, some countries may be embargoed, and no thermal imagers or night vision devices can be taken or exported to them. It is the responsibility of the exporter, whether it be a company or individual, to ensure that such a licence is obtained.
Failure to comply is a criminal offence.
